2024 Spring Registration Information

Spring Season – Open to Boys and Girls in K-6th Grade.

 

Season begins March 1st.  Please see the corresponding dates and times for each grade level.

Registration opens February 1st at 7:30 PM.

Similar to last year, we are going to need to kick off the Spring Registration with caps on all grade levels and there will be wait list options once full.

 

Registration Costs:

Kindergarten: $150

1st-6th Grade: $305

 

For families with 3 or more players there will be a cap of $720 so you will not pay more than that.  For this family discount we ask that you please complete your registration all the way to the end but do not pay.  Please send an email to fairportyouthlax@gmail.com.  We will add an adjustment to your registration and you can then complete it.  Or, if you would prefer to just complete the registration we can go in and issue a credit.  Both will work but please email us right away.

 

Similar to last year, there will be an installment option you can choose that will include an initial deposit and then 3 monthly payments after that.  Team Snap will automatically charge your card that you paid the deposit with each month from the day you register.  Those dates and amounts will be shown to you when you choose that option.

 

Indoor Practice Information:

Practices will be the following dates for Kindergarten Boys and Girls:

SATURDAYS ONLY 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27*

 

Practices will be the following dates for 1st-2nd grade Boys and Girls :

SATURDAYS 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27*

WEDNESDAYS 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24*

 

Practices will be the following dates for 3rd-6th Grade Boys and Girls:

FRIDAYS 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26*

SUNDAYS 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28*

*We will evaluate if outdoor fields are available for the last week in April, so practices may/may not transition to outside for this week, instead of the indoor schedule. 

Kindergarten Boys – SATURDAYS 8-9:15 AM

1st-2nd Grade Boys – SATURDAYS 8-9:15 AM and WEDNESDAYS 5:30-6:30 PM

3rd-4th Grade Boys – FRIDAYS 6-7 PM and SUNDAYS 9-10:30 AM

5th-6th Grade Boys – FRIDAYS 6-7 PM and SUNDAYS 9-10:30 AM

 

Kindergarten Girls – SATURDAYS 9:15-10:30 AM

1st-2nd Grade Girls – SATURDAYS 9:15-10:30 AM and WEDNESDAYS 6:30-7:30 PM

3rd-4th Grade Girls – FRIDAYS 7-8 PM and SUNDAYS 10:30-NOON

5th-6th Grade Girls – FRIDAYS 7-8 PM and SUNDAYS 10:30-NOON

 

Outdoor Practice Information:

Outdoor practices for BOYS will be MONDAY and WEDNESDAY evenings.

Outdoor practices for GIRLS will be TUESDAY and THURSDAY evenings.

Games and Tournaments will be Saturday and/or Sundays through the end of April to the end of May for both boys and girls across all levels.

***The beginning of outdoor practices is dependent on the weather and field conditions.

 

Equipment:

All players will be responsible for supplying their own equipment.

Boys include the following certified equipment: stick, mouth guard, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, and athletic cup.

Girls equipment includes: girls stick, mouth guard, and goggles or lacrosse approved girl’s helmet.

Uniforms:

We will be using the same uniforms this season but there will be the option for purchasing new one’s for returning players who need larger sizes, and of course our new players. Please order uniforms when you register and do not wait so that we will have them all in time for Picture Day which right now is scheduled for 4/13.

We understand that the uniform store does not have a sizing chart for girls/women’s items. This has presented some issues, specifically with the skorts, which run small.  The girl’s jersey lengths are similar to the boy’s (which are on the sizing chart), but they are cut narrower.

The manufacturer was unable to get a sizing chart from the factory, so we made our own!

Spring Rosters and Coaches:

In order for FYL to be successful it all starts with volunteer coaches.  We cannot run the league without them.  Thank you to those who filled out the survey this past Fall and this Winter and those that have started to help out with the Winter Program.  If you are interested in volunteering and have not yet completed the volunteer survey, here is the link: Fairport Volunteer Survey.

Once registration is complete, FYL will be in contact with volunteer coaches.  Please mark your calendars for a mandatory meeting for all of our Head and Assistant Coaches on February 28th 6-8 PM.
